Reiki (Pronounced Ray-Key) is a very simple yet profound hands on healing technique.
Reiki is the Japanese word for “Universal Life Force Energy”
It works by the transference of a high vibrational healing energy through the practitioners hands to the client where it is used on whichever level is most appropriate for the person at that time - mental, physical, spiritual emotional or energetic.
The Reiki energy accelerates the body’s natural healing ability and often brings insights into the cause of the problem. On a physical level it can effect change in the chemical structure of the body by helping to rebalance organs and rebuild tissue, reduce pain and inflammation.
Whichever level the energy is working on it brings a deep state of relaxation and a sense of deep connection and peace.

Reiki is considered to be the most important energy of mans future progression. In 1996 HRH Prince Charles proposed the integrated medicine initiative to encourage complimentary healthcare to work in the NHS. Now Reiki is being used in GP surgeries, hospitals, cancer hospices, post operative recovery, drug rehabs, in private practice and in complimentary therapy centres.
Reiki was rediscovered in 1860 from an ancient Tibetan Sanskrit manuscript by a Japanese professor, Dr Mikao Usui. Reiki is the art and science of self-improvement used by ancient Tibetan lamas, dating back thousands of years.
Reiki is used widely in modern day life, bringing about change and improvement in people and animals all over the world.
Some people are born healers. To them, Reiki can enhance the healing work they are already doing – and can certainly help in their own self healing. To others, who have had no previous experience of healing – the gift of Reiki can be passed on to students by a “Reiki Master” during an Initiation process called “Attunements”. This process of Attunement sets Reiki apart from other forms of healing.
The key to Reiki is its simplicity. Anyone can give Reiki treatments if they so desire, after they have been attuned. Once a person is attuned to the Reiki healing energy, it will be present for that lifetime.
