Music & Performances
Bringing music to her healing practice is a joy and pleasure for Kimberly. Sanskrit healing mantras in combination with both yoga and meditation groups have a powerful healing effect, evoking inner peace and a deep connection. Karuna toning is a stunning and effective way of bringing about healing to a person, where healing mantras are chanted during a healing treatment. Kimberly has a unique voice which has powerful soothing qualities. She is currently working on a project which combines healing song and meditation. A cd soon to be released.
In 1998 Kimberly began her professional voice coaching at the Royal Academy of Music in London. With the initial aspiration for developing her vocal range for ballads her tutor, Japanese/Brazilian Opera Singer, Monica Marabuyashi immediately developed Kimberly’s Classical soprano voice. Kimberly has performed concerts of Italian Arias with an International concert pianist on a small tour in Scotland, weddings and church concerts. She has a pure and passionate voice that is reputed to stir emotions within audiences (and tears!).
La Boite Des Surprises is a classical chill out album, a compilation of beautiful songs sung by Kimberly, recorded at the Duff House Country House Gallery in Aberdeenshire. Some have told stories of how this music has helped bring joy and calm. It has been played in complimentary health clinics, it was been used in Reiki Courses and is said to be fantastic to listen to whilst in the bath with candles!
Enjoying the range of her voice and her creativity, Kimberly has experimented with other styles leading her to perform jazz, blues and pop. She recently visited Barcelona for some further voice coaching, where she picked up some great ideas for producing her next cd. She currently writes her own material and recently BBC2 were interested in one of her tracks for a documentary. Kimberly is currently producing an album of eclectic songs with a jazzy/bluesy twist.

Kimberly has adapted the original French Chimène Badi version of this song, to create this beautiful and unique ballad. It was specially produced for a wedding couple, who chose this as their favourite song.
The song was presented as a live performance and also on disc, as a special gift including the date and venue of the wedding on the cd. If you have a favourite song and you would like a special version produced for your wedding email Kimberly at: music@mindbodyandsong.com.

'The Cosmicorus' are a jazz/ folk band with 5 singers, double bass, guitar and sax and they are also a 20 strong choral theatre group available for events, and festivals.
The Cosmicorus - (think The Beach Boys meets Pink Floyd.) The singers & songs span many styles & sentiments; from poetry from guest poets such as Zena Edwards to ambient jazz, world beat & even the odd sea shanty. Cinematic in parts & rich in imaginative insight, the vastly original material evokes widescreen worlds of humour, conflict, joy, pain, serenity & space. Ildikó Kerék conjoured The Cosmicorus through a desire to produce contemporary & experimental music with a range of voices & influences including; Sun Ra, Hungarian folk, Arvo Part & The Nova Singers.
“ I struggle to think of anything I’ve heard like it, it was deeply original and the composition brought magic back to life for me...Reminded me of the few unforgettable children’s authors who find the tender part of the child’s imagination and play with it….”
Georgina Hewes, BBC World Service and Womens Hour, BBC Radio 4
The Cosmicorus performance troupe are an experience for all ages to explore and enjoy. They create an otherworldly environment using 10 voices, analogue noise, original abstract visuals and live performance. They are a walk through ‘Wall of sound’, fusing visual installation and sound performance. It’s a surreal experience, but with beautiful harmonies and electronic frequencies working together, voices soar and weave majestically, the sub frequencies, analogue sounds, outer galatic noise-making and the choral expertise make this a luxurious sonic bath. The singers look like futuristic sci-fi gods and pharaohs, with wireless microphones, they perform surrounding a white stereo sound system that resembles a spacecraft. The amplification enables the sound to wash over a moving audience with clarity and profound effect both inside and outside for festivals and large scale events...... thecosmicorus@hotmail.co.uk
